Need a bit of wisdom. I found my dad's phone bill and because it was strangely high I started to look at it more carefully. I know it's wrong and nosey of me, but somehow I couldn't help myself. I noticed a number dialled several times daily, and spoken with for the longest time. It got me a bit worried and suspicous. I may be overreacting, but my dad's not particularly sociable. I've thought of ringing the number and see who answers, but have talked myself out of it. Your advice would be much appreciated.

Dial the number......Say 'hi who's that' usually people will tell you and then say that you've dialed the wrong number
Do you really want to know if he is having an affair. The aftermath could be worse than not knowing. You could find yourself in the middle,if you know you`ll want to tell your mother. Please think carefully before you do anything.
I think I also would have to dial the number.
is your dad still with your mom....or are they divorced??? if you answer that ? then i should be able to give you a answer that'll hopefully help you
This may seem harsh, but whether or not your dad is having an affair, it really is not your business. He is an adult, entitled to privacy, which you have invaded.

If for exaple you find he is having an affair, what do you propose to do about it? Tackle him? Tell your mum? leave well alone?

This is a situation which will only be damaged by interference - leave well alone, and accord your dad the level of privacy you would want from him - keep out of his private life.
