Following on from a similar question, what WAS last night's ending all about? Why didn't the cop at the graveyard at the very end do something when the Carol/Jimmy thing came up? Was it all a cover up? Did George Parris really kill himself to save his family? Was his mother really kidnapped by the (bent?)cops? So apart from the dead bodies, no-one was any the wiser as it was all and still is a cover up???? Why didn't R&M question the big guy who really killed the undercover cop???

Well, as well as all that. Did the jimmy/carol message - initials JC, could it not mean James Chatham the older male cop at the graveyard. I just don't get the ending!
Neither did I. It was a great drama too but I was completely lost at the end and I just didnt get it, I hate it when that happens!
I assumed that the cop at the graveyard walked back to the car where Carol James was waiting, WITH the intention of doing something about it... and yes, I also assumed that G Parris DID kill himself to save his family, but only after telling all to R & M..
