Where is the best place in vegas to visit on new years eve?

Don't know about that particular date but go up the Stratosphere tower at night-it's spectacular,and if your'e mad then go on the rides at the top. Stayed in Vegas in the summer,very hot but amazing!

We watched the celebrations from our room at the Excalibur in 2000. It was fantastic; we could see the fireworks from miles away. Depends on your circumstances of course, our children were with us and as The Strip was packed solid we thought it was best to watch from the comfort of our room!

I just moved from L.V. after 52 yrs. residency....crowded streets full of inebriated nutjobs is no place for any 'sane' person on New Years Eve.
The dangers are numerous and palpable...stay in your room and watch the madness on T.V.. Ahhh, btw...the police are edgy, aggressive and over reactionary.
