Does anyone know why some supermarkets are actually taking popping corn off the shelves?

I know Sainsbury's and Tesco's (in Cardiff) have taken it off the shelves but they are still selling bagged popcorn?

Anyone know the reason why as I'm resorting to Froogling it.

Oh God no....why?:(

I adore microwavable popcorn (salty kind) and I'd be gutted if it disappeared from the shelves.

It was microwavable ones you meant wasn't it?
The microwave bags are releasing a dangerous chemical.
if you mean the actual kernals, you can buy it in health food shops but my tescos (in Edinburgh) has stopped selling bags of it too and Im gutted. No idea why maybe just not popular anymore

I was infact talking about the actual kernels and not the microwavable bags.

I have noticed now that Somerfield have stopped selling them too, so add that to the list.

I had to resort to a local health shop, to which they were nearly out of stock due to high demand, as Argos has a deal on popcorn makers (pfft!)
