Kung Fu - "right hand side"

My Kung Fu instructor has said that as your Kung Fu progresses your right-hand side will be very important.

in kung fu you always form up and line up to the person on your right. Unfortunately this was not the answer.

He wont give us the answer, and has asked us to find out. Cant find out anywhere, have racked my brains also. Any fellow kung fu'ers have any theories??

anything to do with the saying your right hand man?

I think it's because most people are right handed and favour their right hand side so as you progress you will learn to take more hits on your right and also deliver blows wiyh your right hand side.
Also a lot of catas begin with a movement from the right.

im pretty sure my instructor said that there is some sort of spiritual element attached to the answer

Just a guess - but could it be something to do with yin and yang? Perhaps the right hand is yang (masculine, strong etc.) while the left is yin (female, soft etc.).
