Yes. If you are stopped and asked to produce your documents, you still have the valid MOT certificate.

Your car went through an MOT test which it failed meaning the car is unroadworthy - if you had an accident and it was found out later that this was the case even though you had a "valid" certificate, I dare say you could leave yourself open for prosecution.
I'm not sure what is wriiten on the MOT report if that is the correct word for it - but it would be a good idea if a failure meant that any " valid " certificate was revoked even if there was a few days left on it - helping to prevent stupid people from driving around in unroadworthy vehicles.
MiniN, yes you will be fine!!
Since you no longer an MOT Certificate and the details of all MOT failures are kept on a database which the Police will have instant access to, I think you would be unwise to drive the vehicle. You may get away with it, but as it has failed the MOT it is obviously unroadworthy. If you were involved in an accident, I would imagine your insurance company would not pay up if the found out the car had recently failed an MOT.

Please note that this is only my opinion and should not be seen as the "letter of the law"
a car can be deemed as unroadworthy one day after passing an mot
an mot only means it is roadworthy on the day it was tested so basically you'd be committing an offence by driving an unroadworthy car at any time after that if there was a fault with the car
