what kind of car is it that john travolta and hugh jackman have a big car chase in, in swordfish. the car has iridescent paint and is really cool. anyone have any ideas??

Why do they have british plates though when the film is set in America??

And it was announced today that TVR, one of only three UK owned firms producing cars in significant volumes (Rover and Morgan being the other two), has been sold to Nikolai Smolenski, a Russian businessman.

The TVR has British plates because they cannot be sold in the USA due to fact that they have not passed US Federal law for selling cars there (involving extensive testing). I'm not sure on the legality of registering a personal import in the US. You will also notice that the car is right-hand drive as it was a British Press Car, prior to it's starring role.
