Godamn it Rom I still suck my thumb and take my blankey to bed with me... don't make me break out of it! ;0)

Seriously.... not too sure what you're asking m'dear. Why would you break out of a comfort zone unless there's some sort of a problem? Are you feeling stuck in a rut? If this is the case, then yes I have on many occasions. Sometimes it's good to do something you're scared of... keeps you on your toes.
Quite a few times, taking a blind leap of faith on my own into the unknown :)

just something my dad said last night, he said he thinks i am in a comfort zone and too scared to move out of it ! that started me thinking cos i am bored of my job
and would like to do something different but it freaks me out cos i am too comfortable.
but i am happy so surely thats all that matters?
Happiness is the main thing. But if you're bored of your job maybe just start looking for what others are on offer. Maybe you'll find a job that you wouldn't be bored with then you'd be even happier! Even better!
Yes, I know someone (family) did Uni, worked in the fitness leisure industry for peanuts and no thanks but enough to manage on. One day chucked it all up and went on a round the world trip, saw all the places and things that were only in books or TV, girlfriend took a gap year from a very good university placement with a 'comfort zone' course.
On their return, girlfriend swopped Uni to other end of the country and a radiography (difficult, but more rewarding) course. He now sells customised longhaul tours to mostly students wanting to make the same break and see the world too. Best of all he continues to travel, so much out there to do and see!!! No money left - but a better life.
GO for it I say, while you can.
At the end of college I really wanted to go on to train to be a paramedic or mental heath nurse or something like that. My parents pressured me to go to uni and to be fair I wanted to get away.

I'd done french, german and spanish A Level so went on to do french, german and italian at uni as that's what I was good at.

Got bored after the first year and decided to take my first year exams and do something different. It didn't go down too well at first with people and all I had was "you're mad" "what if you can't do it" etc..epecially when I chose to switch to a law degree as I wanted a challenge.

I graduated with a top student prize and it was a lovely feeling in a quiet way about all the people who'd doubted me.

I'm now a solicitor , have worked for some of the top 50 law firms in the country and in central London and really enjoy my job.

I also moved down to central London with less than 24 hours notice, the opportunity came up at 5.30 the night before and I was on a train by 11 the next morning and lived in a hotel for months.
