I have just bought a new laptop with Windows XP on it. I would like to be able to play my old favourite games such as Sam & Max and Day of the Tentacle but being DOS games they wont work. Is there anything I can put on my PC that will make them work or are there updated versions of them that I can buy?

After you have installed the game (on Windows) right click on the icon for the game and chose Properties.

On the Properties window choose Compatibility tab.

Within their you can change various settings so the game will run.
You can also type "program compatibility" in the Windows help for more information.

try dos box, google it. you get sound and all. I have got fifty old dos games working well. but boy do they look dated.

yeah id recommend dosbox above ^^

you could also try abandonia.com or look around abandonware sites, you can actually get loads of other old atari an amiga games downloaded from these sites for free, its wicked I got sam & max off one of those and others too, all are reviewed as well
