When did world war 2 end?

I've heard that in the seventies, hostilities were finally ended when Berwick upon Tweed (or somewhere like that) signed a treaty as they'd been left off the original one.

Is this true?

Brill - I knew there had to be something in it.
Well, the Seminole Indians to this day haven't signed a formal peace treaty with the US government.
as far as I am aware WW2 did not officially come to an end until Germany re-unified........
