Right so the volunteer I messaged after the fight the bulldog I was walking was that man I been talking about on here. I messaged him after for advice as he had incidents with dogs before. I just briefly met up with him today he asked if I wanted to go to this lads weekend to waverly they on about and I said no he then I'm going to stop asking you places now as you always say no and latest I been out with him is 6pm and I stayed out till 4.30am on new years eve with my friends I don't understand why he would be expected to stay out with me that late.

Did you get anything off him for your birthday this year abbey  (i.e. this week)?

"If you'd have said "no" to him months and months ago, instead of accepting his lifts, meals, outings, gifts and replying to his texts, you wouldn't still be asking us about him"

Scorpio I'm afraid yes she would. Same old questions, same old answers, same people saying well done and good to abbey about things they told her to do a zillion times.  Which only encourages it all. Also this man is in his 60s (which is I guess why you'd feel uncomfortabble about telling people abbey?) do men of that age describe meet ups as 'lads' weekends?

Scorpiojo, why would a man with friends of his own behave the way he does if he is not interested in being more than friends? Gifts, meals out, hanging round to give her lifts, wants her to meet his mates....

Prudie, men that age do meet up for lads weekends, and go  abroad for lads holidays.

Apologies, my post was addressing scorpiojo, not Prudie.

Why don't you block him and remove his number/details from your contacts ? Simple

I know they meet up, I have my own husband but do they really call it a lads weekend at that age??

He didn't say lads weekend as such he was asking his mate on the phone and said other guys about going to waverly and do I want to go.

Some of them do, Prudie.  I know someone in his 70s who says he's meeting up with the lads.

Seems all the advice here just goes blowing in the wind.

I imagine he dies like her, Barry, but perhaps he also thinks Abbey is interested in being more than friends, Barry?

*does

How old are you this birthday, abbey?

Obviously he likes her but abbey has accepted gifts, lifts, chats with him in the past, contacts him about this dog drama and has never told to him to buzz off so he is getting the wrong message and we've been told he's a creepy stalker a lot - not by abbey I don't think - but by the well wishers on here.

Abbey said somewhere she will be 32 this week.

I don't think she can bring herself to lose contact with this man.

Thanks.

Abbey, have you cancelled one of the restaurants yet. ?  If not, do so now or they could blacklist you

Abbey, you've previously said that this man 'creeped you out' - I can't understand why you haven't deleted him from your phone.  You've been keen to block all the new, younger guys you've had dates with - some because they 'don't make an effort', some because they speak tersely, yet you're still keeping in touch with someone who made you very uncomfortable, someone your mum and friends warned you against. Why?

Good point, NAC.
