On Sky Atlantic.  I've been to Auschwitz and I've read the book - the work, I thought rather sloppy - for a writer a missed opportunity I thought - but a best seller nonetheless and I enjoyed most of it.  Will you be watching this new series?  I'll give it a try.

Unfortunately I read the synopsis and wanted to watch it but I don't subscribe to Sky Atlantic. I would also like to watch Zone of Interest.

Retro - the book of Zone of Interest by Martin Amis is excellent.

From what I have learnt so far it seems like 'The Boy with the Striped Pyjamas'

I've not read Striped Pyjamas But Z of I is a  powerful book examining the ordinary day to day  life and motives of a Camp Commandant without being voyeuristic or sentimental .

The film of Zone of Interest is very good - thought provoking

The Boy with the striped Pyjamas is about the camp commandant of Auschwitz living with his family next door to Auschwitz. His son wanders off to the wire of the camp and befriends a young jewish lad in striped camp gear (pyjamas) through the perimeter wire. The commandant's son manages to enter the camp and gets caught up with his new pal in a round up of inmates and ends up in the crematoriums. The Commandant and wife cannot understand where their  son has 'disappeared'

I have recorded it, but with so much on at the moment not sure when I will get to see it.  Certainly make sure it does not get missed though.

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is a stunning read.   The film was good but not as good ...

Twenty minutes into The Tattooist - I will watch on.  I think it has the makings of an exceptional production.

The first episode is quite chilling.  They've done it well.
