Our first experience has left us far from impressed.   Has anyone else had a poor service from them?

They are called Evri because they screw up every delivery.

I am one of the few it would appear who has had excellent service from them time and time again  It all seems to hinge on the calibre of each local courier - some good some bad.  It must irk the good ones to see all the bad reports.

Maybe once when they still called themselves Hermes but not generally. Considering how much stuff we order online in our house problems with any of the delivery companies have been few. Maybe it depends on where one lives, I don't know.

We have an excellent Evri deliver lady. Always on time and follows instructions as to 'safe place'.

Have, so far, no complaints about Evri.

I have had the same female Hermes/Evri courier for a few years. She is always reliable and friendly.

No complaints from me, our Evri lady is great, and I often have parcels delivered as I hate going out to shop.

No complaints.

I've used them since they were Hermes (before they became Evri) and have never had any problems at all with them.

Similarly, my friends in Sheffield normally use Evri to send me gifts and everything has always arrived on time and in good condition.

My local Evri courier is very good. I don't think it's the company that's bad, just individuals.

What was your experience, Naomi?

It's all down to the local courier and the fact they have very poor customer service.

I've spent a fair amount of time chatting with our local Evri driver and I know one of the reasons why so much stuff never makes it to the door. So often a batch of parcels will be missing an important consignment number - this can be as many as 30+ parcels. Our local driver encounters this issue several times a month and, protocol dictates that they are not allowed to deliver any parcels without these consignment numbers - they should be rejected, at which point they often get lost or sent for auction (I'm not sure if they still do this, however it is what they used to do, even if the items have a readable delivery address). Our local driver always accepts parcels that have no consignment number because she knows just how many of the parcels never make it to customers.

Often she vents to me about how frustrating it is, and that she knows that so many of her colleagues refuse to deliver parcels that aren't correctly labelled. I'm so grateful to her for being such a decent human being. I'm not sure I could do that job, knowing just how much hate there is towards the company.

They're absolutely fine as a delivery company  and 'hate' toward them is simply an invention.

I can't say I hate or dislike them.  But they lost one of my parcels last week.

The item was wanted urgently and was out for delivery several days ago.  It finally arrived today.  Very poor service.

Our local Evri delivery driver is delightful, cheerful and utterly reliable.

Mine yesterday was okay. I wasn't in, so didn't know till I checked my emails; and didn't know where he'd put it until I looked at the photo (between the recycling bin and a brick wall), but there it was. And it had been at the advertised time. So no complaints.

I have always had a good service. I use their app and find they are fairly good. They do give strange messages sometimes but my items have all arrived. On time.

Well...except for never actually delivering to me...but to the neighbours, any neighbours, downstairs. I guess they are fine 🙄

The above has happened at least half a dozen times over a 2 year period. I've had to go knocking on doors to find parcels. I won't order from any company that uses them.
