It's a long time not to have heard anything, think I would simply keep my head down and hope that it's all been mislad somehow.

6 or 7 months ago?!  That sounds too long, although more informed members may take a different view.  See:

I don't suppose it was all a dream?

Did you give the correct name and address? Did they check for licence and insurance at the time and tellyouwhat would happen next?

Question Author

I do remember giving all the correct details but still now I haven't received anything

Question Author

Haha I wish it was a dream mate

May we assume that you now have a licence and the appropriate insurance, or will you still be a danger to other road users/pedestrians/property?

Question Author

I was not sure if I was to go ahead and start my lessons or even book the test

When you were stopped, did they say what what would happen next?

I feel fairly confident that the police have to start any prosecution case within 6 months of the offence. But I can't find proof of that online. Someone else might know more.

Maydup: The CPS need to be notified within 6 months, if they've been charged - C4th wouldn't be informed of this. From memory, I think the CPS have up to 3 years for it to go to the initial hearing. I'd be calling 101 and trying to find out what is going on, if I were C4th, rather than just hoping it'll go away.

Also, if they've been released 'under investigation', I don't think there is a time limit on it needing to go to court. Either way, they're best just calling 101 (or the contact number for the police station that handled the arrest) and asking.

Question Author

I was just told I was going court and looking at 9 points 6 for no insurance or license and 3 for the other. Can't really remember. And I was facing a 2 year ban and a fine

Question Author

I'll call them tomorrow and I'll let you guys know what was said
