I know they're more biscuity, but gingerbread men always sell well because children nag their parents into buying them. Same with chocolate crispy cakes.
Caramel shortcake's another good one, or chocolate brownies.
yum, where is it? Can I come?
rock cakes, scones, victoria sandwich, all sele very well. i am a cakahollic yum yum.
Fairy cakes with butter icing topping always go down well and they are easy to eat! Ooh and mars bar cake mmmm
mmmmm.....Lemon Drizzle Cake
Lemon drizzle,Carrot cake and Victoria sponge.
A really easy cake which is delicious is this one.It hasn't got a propername .It's my Mum In Laws recipe ..I call it Orange and Lemon cake.

Cream fat,sugar,add eggs beat together.
Sift the flour and baking powder and fold in.
Put mixture into an 8x10 greased tinand bake for 40mins on 190C.When its cold prick the top all over with a fork.
Squeeze the juice of a large orange and one lemon and mix the juice with one tablespoonful of caster sugar and pour this all over the cake.Dust the top with icing sugar.

fairy cakes
msemma - Fruit scones are a favourite & easy peasy to make!
My Smartie buns always sell out at school fairs- plain buns with white icing and a Smartie on top. Triple choc buns-choc bun,coc icing and choc sprinkles. Coffee and walnut...mmm too!
Definitely coffee and walnut!

I used to do one covered with hard dark chocolate with mandarin segments in a pretty pattern on top.
How about doing some scones and take some cream and jam to encourage people to eat them there and then.

You could make some little fairy cakes with black icing, use some liquorice for legs and put some eyes on and you have some hallowe'eny spider cakes.

How about some whisky butter cream in one with a hint of ginger and some mandarin segments (can soak in whisky) or orange segments on the top.
Home made Date & Walnut cake used to go down a treat in our house! (I don't make it as often as I used to).

If you'd like a very easy to follow recipe, I can oblige - if not, good luck with whatever you decide to make.
