Squeeling wheels on Mk4 Golf

I have a 52 plate golf and it has just started to make a high pitch squeeling noise coming from the wheels. This happens at all times, not just when braking, any suggestions?

Probably brake noise - take front disc pads out and smear some Copaslip grease ( very sparingly ) over the back of the pads and replace them. Be very careful not to get any of the grease on the discs or braking surfaces of the pads. That should cure the problem.
