Birthday Greetings Threads

Minty used to have a thread on birthdays of some Abers and I think, probably, this was appreciated by most people.  Minty is missed and also on the GMEB thread and, if you're looking in, hurry back x.  If you have decided not to return for any reason, maybe you would consider passing on your birthday list to someone with whom you are in contact on AB so that "Happy Birthday" can be continued? 😊x  Just a thought!

It is a difficult subject, surprisingly really for something that one would think is lighthearted. I added my date years ago but only once got a happy birthday thread. It means nothing to me but I know a lot of people really got a boost from having a greeting, especially those who get little in real life.

Now he's gone I can confirm that sqad used to moan about them a lot, he claimed to not like his own birthday but I do know he took more notice of those regulars who hadn't added greetings to his own happy birthday thread, which he got every year :-)

I also have to agree that I never understood why they were posted for ABers that hadn't looked in for years.
