....actually with that reading probably more than 12 months!

I used to know a guy, now deceased, who got so drunk when he drove home he stopped and parked up and got a cab because he said the road was narrowing in on him and he didn't think the car would fit down the road!

I think he panicked and at the time thought the immediate help was more vital than the repercussions.

Yes, probably - still commensurate with the offence, but at the lighter end of the range.
