We've had three chaps here today, to start landscaping a bit of the garden, and it's poured down all day, poor things have been like drowned rats.

The garden, or the bit they're working on, is just mud now, poor dog can barely find a nice bit of grass to pee on. I'm sure it will be worth it in the end, just seems we've had a procession of tradespeople lately, I shall be really glad when these (very nice and polite) landscape gardeners have finished.
I want my house, garden, and life, back 😏

Your current life style reminds me of Flanders and Swan, Vagus! (Somewhere between, Mud, mud, glorious mud & 'Twas on the Monday morning... You are having a rough time of it at the moment and I hope your dog is pleased to be home once more. You won't know yourselves when the rain takes a holiday. If I were you I would just pour larger drinks to see you through the upheaval ;)

I had my lawn returfed just as the monsoon started back in September. It's been a swamp ever since. I seriouusly wonder if it will be worth it in the end: there are drains under the grass but the water just sits there on top.

Choux, I was just having a boredom moan, things could be worse. How's things with you and him?

I know, jno, our untouched bit of lawn is the same and dog won't even put a paw on it. I suppose it'll all dry out eventually and we'll be moaning about having to water things!

A decent pair of wellies should see you right.

Question Author

Dog won't wear wellies.

I really cannot stand the stress of finding good tradespeople and the work, mess, upheaval involved.

I feel for you

Nor mine.

I hate having people in as well. You just can't relax until everything is finished.

'Three Best Rated' has taken the stress out of finding a tradesperson Barry, the joiner, decorator and now landscape Gardner have all been found that way, and I have to say have all been excellent.

Its having someone in your house and garden, and not being able to go out, that I find stressful, and then the mess afterwards to clear up.
Moan, moan, moan 🙄🙄🙄😉
