If the money is so She ite why pick that career? get a job you like instead of holding the unwell public to ransom. Disgusting tools should be ashamed of themselves. Impose the already generous rise and fire those that don't go back.

Mozz: "I actually think a lot of public support is still behind the medical professionals." - Gawd elp us what goggles are you wearing? Tell that to my mate's Mrs who's just had her op cancelled for the nth time. Tell that to thousands like her. People are already angry about the medical profession using COVID to effectively withdraw from getting anywhere near the public. This is the cherry on the cake. Believe me these doctors are about as popular as Red Robbo at the moment.

jno: "Under capitalism, everyone's allowed to make the most they can from their trade, and that's what the doctors are doing." - indeed so if you don't get enough in the current job, find one that you do.

While I don't agree with there present action, people will die and I dare say have done. You do also have to look at the bigger picture. You call them agitators, well agitators are normally stirred by being agitated. The agitation has been going on for 13 years by an unwell government. When you sort the big cats out within the NHS on up to 300k a year and you also stop the likes of Michelle Mone and others like her who have milked the NHS over the past 3 years you may just see less agitators. If i were a doctor at the moment I think I would be agitated watching billions pouring out of the NHS into crooks bank accounts. An unwell government it sure is.Greed breeds greed.

untitled, some fair points. I agree the NHS does need root and branch reform and have said so on here many times. It will take a Brobdingnagian shift and courage from whatever government does it. Like many things it will take more than one parliament so no governement is going to undertake it.
