that's just the eurozone, to which Britain never belonged, thanks to Gordon Brown. And Germany, which has been doing badly compared to other members of the EU and to the UK.

It's cherry-picking, though: quite a lot of other EU countries look like doing better than us. Here's KPMG's forecast, with Britain about halfway down the list of major economies
