I've been to see Fascinating Aida on their 40th Anniversary Tour tonight.  They're still as funny (and just as outrageous) as ever and there are still plenty of tour dates to come:

So, if you're looking for something to cheer you up, it might be worth seeing if you can book tickets for a show in your area.

how are they for audible? My hearing's so rubbish now it's seldom worth going to live theatre. I remember loving Noises Off in 1978 or so but when I went to see a revival recently I couldn't hear a single joke 😢

^^^ I have to admit, Jno, that I couldn't hear every single word easily tonight but I think that might well have been due to the lousy acoustics in the Regent Theatre in Ipswich; I often struggled to hear the soundtracks of movies there over half a century ago, when it was still the Gaumont cinema.

However a few missing words here and there weren't really enough to spoil my enjoyment of the show.

I hate missing jokes. But yes, I suppose it's down to individual venues' acoustic arrangements.

Seen them several times,  going again in March,  looking forward to it,  a good evening

They've got a good mix of old and new stuff, Sadielady.

'Cheap Flights' is in the mix, as is 'Dogging' (but with the final line changed to remove the reference to Russell Brand).

However there's also plenty of topical stuff, such as songs about the Covid enquiry and Suella Braverman.  It's definitely a good night out!
