Saturday Post Deliveries

I wish they would scrap it - it seems to me that bad news from companies is designed to arrive on a Saturday, knowing they can't be contacted until Monday when I've had a chance to calm down.

So upsetting and frustrating. Anyone else found this?

No, I can't say that I've noticed bad news arriving on Saturdays.

It comes whenever it pleases, whatever day of the week. Ah, well.

I wish! We're lucky to get two deliveries a week here (severe staff shortage at delivery office). And last week, the deliveries that we did get each had somebody else's mail!

We go and pick it up ourselves from the delivery office (open 8 to 10 am only!). Some service, eh?

Although I know that our local postie does deliver on Saturdays, I can't recall having received any mail at all on a Saturday for many, many months. I get very little snail mail anyway and what does come usually seems to arrive in the middle of the week.

Just my bad luck, then 😞 I see the postman in my cul-de-sac most days (I know there are postwomen but not in my cul-de-sac), and get post at least three times a week. We subscribe to magazines.

I got mail delivered this morning. Postman knocked on the door at woke me up. Called to him to leave it on the door mat. He did.

Post on a Saturday has been reduced in many post code areas near me. My posty told me this first hand. If theres very little to go to those areas its kept over until Mon or Tues. Apart from mail from the NHS, this will be delivered by another posty in his van.
