Aston Villa host Brighton in tomorrow's early PL kick-off - 1230, a fixture which usually produces 2 or more goals.

If i was a betting man, i'd have my money on the Villains but, thankfully, i am not being asked to name the victors. I am being asked to trust that Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma has at least one shot on target.

He scored just 7 goals in 33 outings last season, but alredady he has 3 to his name in just 67 appearances. He likes to have a punt at goal and, IF HE PLAYS, i'm quietly confident that the bet will provide the usual reward.

£10 win @ Evens Mitoma to have at least 1 SOT - WH.

I haven't placed the bet yet, but i will be doing so once i have learned whether or not he is in the starting eleven, which is usually just under an hour prior to kick off.

As expected, Mitoma starts - bet's on.

3 goals in just 67 appearances?? Think that should be 6 or 7

Thanks for pointing that out, Bobb. I originally typed '7' but then realised it was '6'. Obviously wasn't concentrating when i amended it 😵

Question Author

It's been all Aston Villa (lead 3-0) with Brighton registering just one effort on target - unfortunately it wasn't Mitoma. The Brighton manager will have to do something for the 2nd half and may make a few half-time changes. In all honesty, he could sub any one of his outfield players so i just hope Mitopma escapes the 'hook'.

3 changes made - thankfully our chap is still on the pitch.

Question Author

Not to be, today. All Villa - Brighton hardly had a sniff.

Ah well, you can't win 'em all.
