My hair is bleached and tinted and the ends are sooo dry, I use loads of conditioners, gloss, everything you name it is in the cupboard (and on my hair). But when I have first washed and dried my hair it looks so fly away and dry, how can I get it to look glossy? I blow dry it downwards like they do at the hairdressers, it never looks shiny like they do it though, and I don't use straighteners as it dries the hair even more, it is in a shortish bob with layers. Thanks all.
I use a product called sparkle from hairdressers by shwarzkopf. Its a mild hold spray syrum. I dont bleach or colour my hair though and its also very dark which makes it shiney anyway. Unfortunately the lighter your hair the less shiney it can look anyway. Honeyish blondes will probably make it shinier.
Frizzease do a spray finishing serum which adds quite a good shine to my darkish, dyed dry hair. You can find it in Boots with the rest of the frizzease stuff.
smurfchops - Splash out on a good haircut from a reputable hairdresser & use a hairdryer with an optional cool setting. Do you use tongs or anything that drys the hair out? Do you home colour your hair? I colour my own hair (L'oreal Excellence creme) It includes a really good after conditioner!
I work at a hairdressers part-time as a receptionist, and I think they would recommend having the ends cut, and use L'Oreal Kerastase products. They have some brilliant conditioning treatments, which are to repair damaged and dry hair, although they can only repair it to a certain extent, and if it is dry and damaged and you haven't had a cut in ages, then you have this first..
