Did you know? Kirk was not in the pilot, the Capt was Christopher Pike, played by Jeffrey Hunter, also famous for playing Jesus in King of Kings (1961).

Gromit 12:01, yes, interestingly after the Moby Dick references in First Contact, Stewart actually played Ahab in the 1998 version of Moby Dick.
That explains Strange New Worlds (which is very good, by the way) to me. I wondered who Pike was having grown up with Captain Kirk

ST: SNW is set before the original series and before the events of The Menagerie. The character James Kirk is in it, but before he became a Captain.

Ron Howard's brother Clint played Balok in one of the most famous episodes "The Corbormite Manoeuvre".
Tora, Clint Howard starred as Balok when he was 7 years old, but he has done more Trek throughout his career…

He played Grady in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine third season episode "Past Tense, Part II".

He played Muk in the Star Trek: Enterprise first season episode "Acquisition".

He was in the Star Trek: Discovery first season episode "Will You Take My Hand?".

And more recently he portrayed Buck Martinez in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds second season episode "Under the Cloak of War".
