My Mam would turn over in her grave seeing me having dinner about 5ish , it was always 12 0 clock when I was young , sitting down as a family , Dad cutting the meat and she made the best Yorkshire ever with the fat she got with the joint the day before at our local butchers, she never washed the tins in soapy water always wiped them with her Sunday cloot as she called it, and they never stuck either.5 0 clock was tea time with home made scones and a Victoria sandwich cake .
Tonight we’re having a Sunday roast using my Ninja , yummy

I cook the meat on Saturday, 42 minutes on pressure cook
Veg on Sunday ( all done ) carrots 2 minutes, potatoes 22 minutes , broccoli I do on the hob, peas or runner beans 2 mins , get the juices from the Ninja pot and make the gravy,oh and yorkshires take around 15-20 minutes as well, fill the plates, microwave them to hot , pour on gravy and add the yorkies :0)
Like you Bobbi, my mum always liked her Sunday dinner at 1pm.
And now we will be eating shortly a feast of roast chicken, pigs in blankets, roasties, selection of mixed veg including my neighbour's runner beans and yorkies. All washed down with a nice white wine.

Apart from the wine ( white gives me heartburn) that sounds delicious Sharon

I'm just about to make a minced pork and apple pie, cheating by using bought pastry. Serving with fesh veg and new potatoes.
Far too much effort for one. I can actually cook for others quite well and complemented many times.

But a full Sunday roast I'm usually a guest. another lazy option

Tesco meat pie and Aunt Bessies mini roasts with her Yorkshires too. Microwave steamed veggies. Found a mini Christmas pud in the cupboard so had that with a pot of Ambrosia custard - why do we only have Christmas puds at Christmas - it was delicious.
Recovering from DJ'ing last night, so lazy day.

Pizza for Mrs H, and I had scrambled egg in toast.

Bath and early night, can't take the pace like I used to fifty years ago!
