I've been to a training seminar today with a talk lasting about two hours. After about half an hour I find myself unable to keep my eyes open, and start fidgetting and trying desperately to keep awake - I am sure at one point I nearly fell off my chair into the person next to me. This has been happening for the past few years but got worse - is there anything that would help me stay awake? Is there anything like a spray that would give me a quick boost?

Thanks all, the seminar was interesting and I am sorry I seem to have missed some of it. It only seems to happen when I 'switch off' and sit and relax listening to someone talk. I often drive long distances and make sure I take a break, and at home I can stay up till the early hours - its just the act of sitting still and concentrating on one person with no interaction from me. Will maybe get a blood test done and as rowan says might go back on the leaded tea for the day of any future talks. I did have covid in March but it was very mild, and had I not tested because of a visit to an elderly friend I doubt I would have known. It hasn't as far as I am aware affected me and this sleep thing has been happening for a few years now but the seminars are fortunately few and far between.
