Hi - I took advantage of 40% off a pair of ladies sandals from Hotter. They arrived today & they are so cheap looking, they were made in China, there is no mention on them of the Hotter name (apart from a removable insert). They were ordered from the Hotter website & arrived in a Hotter shoe box. I will NEVER buy Hotter shoes again if this is the standard they are now selling.

have you tried calling 01695 213 213? 9 to 6, Monday to Saturday.
Slightly off topic but I'm sure many of you will remember United Colours of Benneton? Think they still might be around. Anyway, their sandals were quite expensive at the time. I was working in Albania and a neighbour sat outside every day hand stitching uppers on to part of the sole of these shoes. She was paid the princely sum of 10p per shoe - this is back in 2002 but even then it was pure exploitation. I never bought anything from them again.
Some of them are definitely made in China.
When buying on line I try to avoid purchasing made in China but its not always that easy. Perhaps firms should be obliged to declare country of origin
Send them back registered post and ask for a full refund. Sooner rather than later. And best of luck.

Heard from Hotter this afternoon! "Sorry to hear etc " I was told that Hotter make 75% of their shoes in the UK. I will be returning my sandals to the nearest Hotter shop (luckily I paid with PayPal) & will let you know when I receive my refund. Thank you for all your comments.
Thanks for the update, very disappointed Hotter doesn't make it clear on their website
I was passing a Hotter shop today and saw those sandals. Most of their footwear has 'Hotter' and Made in England embossed on the sole but some has a blank sold and Made in China inside. Eliah was a made in China as is Catskill (as an example) It says something for their customer service that they came back to you quickly though.

UPDATE: HOTTER have refunded the money I paid for these sandals (which I returned to a local Hotter shop)
Good. Although they haven't done anything over and above what they had to do by law.
They really should make it very clear on their website where the goods are made, especially as they make such a big thing of 'made in UK'.
