What is "vegetable fish"?
Almost all my food is bought frozen, it's far more convenient for me. Everything has timings on the packaging, but given that cookers/ovens/microwaves can vary, you soon learn what's best for your situation.

I can't comment on freezing/cooking fresh food, I don't remember the last time I did it.
I cook frozen veg. Just pop into saucepan of boiling water for 2/3 mins.
Drain add knob of butter if desired.

I only cook frozen meat if say I've bought it frozen already like from iceland otherwise everything else is thawed out prior to cooking.
A lot frozen of meat and fish products state 'best cooked from frozen' on the packs and Yes I almost always cook frozen Veg straight from the bag into boiling water.
If you buy them frozen look on the package. If you buy fresh and freeze defrost and cook as normal
I cook most of my veg frozen. The instructions are on the packet. Alternatively I put them in salt water and microwave until succulent. The water ensures the ice melts quickly and the salt ensures enough seasoning to make them flavourful.
And I still don't know what "vegetable fish" is.
Thanks OG.

As I suspected, vegetables "identifying" as animal products.

Why is this necessary? If you don't want to eat fish, don't eat it. If you're happy eating processed daffodil bulbs (or whatever this stuff is made from) then fine. Just don't call it "fish."

"There are some good plant-based fish options available on the UK"

No there are not. Fish is fish, plants are plants. One is not an "option" of the other. How would it be if I took some haddock, dyed it green, processed it into slices and called it "fish based cabbage". That would be utterly ridiculous, and so it is the other way around.

I fully accept and respect vegans' decisions not to use animal based products. Their choice. But why name the alternatives after animal flrsh?
