I have enjoyed watching the french detective Maigret on Talking Pictures TV. Some weeks there is the English version with Rupert Davies and other weeks there is the French version with subtitles. Very good.

What did you think of Rowan Atkinson's Maigret? I enjoyed the series if I did not compare it to earlier portrayals of Maigret.

I cannot wait for more of Atkinson's Maigret. Loved the plots, setting and his very Gallic features. I had not realised what a talented straight actor he is. More please.

I confess i have not seen Rowan Atkinsons, i was look it up next time its on.

Both excellent screen versions but the TPTV episodes show there age by the crackling sound track Rowan Atkinson is very good.

Lucy Cohu as Maigret's patient wife in the Atkinson version is very good.
