I am putting this on here rather than Gulliver's latest attempt at crucifying the Tory party. As the news about Suella Braverman speeding has been reported by the Gruaniad how can anyone take it seriously when this appears on their page?

"The Guardian has spent the past 13 years tirelessly investigating the shortcomings of the Tories in office – austerity, Brexit, partygate, cronyism, the Truss debacle and the individual failings of ministers who behave as if the rules don’t apply to them.

Our work has resulted in resignations, apologies and policy corrections. Our continued revelations about the conveyor belt of Tory dysfunction are the latest in a long line of important scoops. And with an election just round the corner, we won’t stop now. It’s crucial that we can all make informed decisions about who is best to lead the UK. Will you invest in the Guardian this year?

Unlike many others, the Guardian has no shareholders and no billionaire owner. Just the determination and passion to deliver high-impact global reporting, always free from commercial or political influence. Reporting like this is vital for democracy, for fairness and to demand better from the powerful."

"Reporting like this is vital for democracy" - really? You think that is democracy?

Apologies Khandro, I got the wrong of the stick there. I’m still sleepy.
Lankeela ,Gulliver is like a naughty wind up merchant who insults posters at his leisure, he is probably very capable of doing a king but because it rankles a few,he deliberately won’t do one , he goes for a chink in someone’s armour like me saying my tipple is Grey Goose vodka , he’s had fun with that for some time now, he enjoys winding people up on a daily basis, that’s what he enjoys doing and he has his followers too, I won’t stop posting on his Boris daily’s , I find them funny and a deliberate fishing line , have fun with Gulliver ( best get his name right) I do ;0)
King????
Bliddy link, not king ;)
Gromit; Apology accepted.

'It seems that Suella Braverman broke the speed limit last summer when she was attorney general; she was given the option of a traffic course and, allegedly, asked civil servants if they could help her take it privately rather than as part of a group.

Labour is outraged that she involved the civil service. The civil service is probably outraged at having been asked to do anything at all.

Suella is the latest target of the blob, that cloud of resistance that descends mysteriously on Right-wing ministers and sensible ideas.'

It IS possible in certain circumstances to take the traffic course one to one rather than in a group & that's all she allegedly asked for.
cruella braverman was already found to have breached the ministerial code late last year…. she was reluctantly forced to resigned over it only to be reappointed less than a week later.

the tories do not care about the ministerial code and neither do most people who vote for them… they don’t see the point of it and treat it like an annoying inconvenience… they ignore it whenever possible and get very irate when they are caught out.
Yes Khandro the left wing element of the civil service are out to get her and any other one they think goes against their thinking. Often there is open hostility on their intranet and in meetings. The civil service is anything but, and is certainly not unbiased.

Having said that it is not all, but the one that keep quiet do so because they dont want to be a target also. It's a sad state of affairs.

Labour need to be careful too, they will find that their ideas clash with the Metropolitan liberal elite and will suffer the same fate.
youre getting taken for a ride by the user you are obsessed with but refuse to engage with directly
