Why do they have to deliver trash mail (for trash food)...what a waste of time for them.

I *think* you can opt out of receiving unaddressed mail but you might not receive correspondence addressed to "The Occupier" which might be important.

Maybe it depends on the area. I know it was delivered by the Postie because I saw him.
Nice bloke...This time it was dominoes, tomorrow it might be Farmfoods and the next local real estate companies asking if I want to sell. It's not all junk food. If it keeps my nice young Postie employed and the service he works for going, I'm ok with it.

If you OK with it pasta that's fine,but why complain about it then? I doubt you will be fine with it if you ever need urgent hospital treatment, and you can't get it because they are treating a whole boat load of people who have consumed trash food resulting in a heart attack.
If you take the USA they are dropping like flies because of the trash they eat. The burger and pizza capital of the world. Most of them can't work because they are to fat.

I like nicebloke's idea that you have to buy into anything that's suggested to you. How about TV ads? are they responsible for people eating "trash food" too?

Yes they are gingejbee, That's why the government stepped in at one point to ban certain ads, at certain times. But they never go far enough do they. Like the sugar content of many foods. I would like to bet that one third of the 7 million waiting for treatment now on the NHS are of self inflicted medical problems.

Life is for living, it sure is, and I totally agree with you. Eat well live well. Eat trash, and you wont live well. Did you not see the news a couple of weeks ago? the UK is becoming riddled with diabetes patients like the USA. So why do you think that is? its all down to eating trash food, so getting back to my above post, ( one third of the people waiting for treatment on the NHS) are of self inflicted medical problems. Diabetes being the main one.

Pear shaped? I was agreeing with the comment you made in the OP,
" trash food". @ 19.48. What they shove in their mouths is their choice. But when its costing the NHS billions a year in care and medications, then that's coming out of my taxes.

When the likes of McDonald's, Dominoes, Gregg's and the likes of continue to expand, so does the problem of diabetes, the latter medical condition that can be reversed by eating the correct food, and without medication.

If people choose to shove trash into their mouths, then pay for your own treatment don't expect me to pay. Doctors must be sick to their high teeth treating people who couldn't careless about their own health. And if they tell them they are over weight / fat they get a mouthful of abuse, is it any wonder that very few are training to become doctors?

I put this in CB because I expected it to be a light hearted thread...possibly everyone telling tales of the silly things their posties deliver. I suppose I didn't give enough thought to how I worded it.
I know all about food and diet, so you needn't lecture about that...well, not on CB at least.

Lecture you? Not at all, like I say I'm agreeing with you about trash food. I've just expanded on the damage that trash food is doing to people,especially young children. And also expanded on the amount of money its costing the country. My case rests.:•)
