Ok, so a regular group of us 4 girls met at one of our houses the other day for a get together as we hadn’t seen each other for a while. I happened to ask one of them (the one whose house we were at) how her 14 yr old son was, and she said yeh he’s fine - he’s upstairs in his room - with a girl!! And gave a silly grin. Now we all automatically looked at each other and one of the others said immediately “With the bedroom door open or shut??”. We all sort of giggled but she said “Shut of course! Nothings going to go on, he’s only 14!”. Of course the conversation carried on and on with two of them, one saying anything could happen even at 14 and they certainly wouldn’t let their son have a girl in their room at that age. With the mum saying as if anything would happen with me sat downstairs!! And he’s far too young anyway!
So I was just genuinely curious - if your 14 yr old son came home with a girl and said they were going up to his room and closing the door what would you say?? Yeh that’s fine, or erm no!

That's fine - door open
Tell ' em to go to his girlfriend's bedroom instead. You can't be bothered bringing up time & snacks when least expected.
Be thankful the boy has friends who are girls.
Fine - with the door open or closed.

Apparently he refused to have door open, (don’t ask, he’s a handful already!), and she is more than just a friend as he’s already told his mum that he has kissed her. Mum is a single mum btw and I personally think he takes the p*** but that’s just me.
Make dammed sure he knew how not to get her pregnant.

Although at 14 it is a bit young. My 15 years old daughters used to have boyfriends round in their room. Wife reckoned at least she knew where they were and keep them safe.

Was fine until one, about 18 at the time, came down to the kitchen complaining the poor fella upstairs wasn't up to the job. I left the wife to sort it out! (Turned out a few months later he 'came out')
//Apparently he refused to have door open//

Well that is easily solved. One of my daughters thought it fun to slam the door continually. I removed it for a month - she never did it again. She did try turning her music up loud but I had her room on a separate cicuit so just pinged the mcb off. She never did that agina either.
....great YMB! She was now doubt angry at the time but I bet she now tells that story for a laugh!
Left your wife to sort out his poor fellow issue ? That was very open minded of you !
Nah OG, just the irate daughter who hadn't got what she wanted. She was very vocal and he was in the room above. It's a big house but he must have heard.
I was sexually active at 14, many of my friends were. Not in my own home, though.
I was strict with my children and wouldn't have allowed friends in bedrooms, whatever sex they were

LOL YMB x
Same as Barry in that i was also sexually active at 14, but with slightly older girls. And, if i knew my parents were not expected home anytime soon, i did use my own bed on occasions.
FF to being a father of 3 girls and 1 boy and there is no chance whatsoever that i would have allowed any boys in their bedrooms - doors open or shut. The reason? See my first paragraph:-)
I should add, in fairness, i would not have allowed my son any girls in his bedroom either.
My friends ex-wife was extremely liberal minded when it came to her teenage daughter - almost 15 at the time. Until one day, having allowed said daughter to have her boyfriend in her bedroom to 'listen to some music'.
Suspicious of how quiet things were upstairs, she entered daughter's bedroom just in time to witness her precious princess almost expertly applying a condom to her chap's erect penis - which naturally rapidly lost it's condition:-)
There's trust. Then there's trust!

Omg Ken, I would have been mortified if that had been my daughter lol.
When the furore had died down, mate's ex said that at least she now knew her daughter was taking precautions to have safe sex. Every cloud, i suppose.
Thats nothing. The things I could tell you about the 'wild child' daughter above!

She is extremely good looking, when she came to my workplace (large Bank) for work experience at 15 I got an email from a female colleague - "All male tongues have just hit the floor". Unfortunately she used this to her advantage and really played/used men. And of course she worked in Magaluf (we will say no more).

And there was the time she went out into Town on Sat night dressed in stocking suspenders knickers and a basque. Nothing else.

You just get used to it.
