Very sad. He looked after her well.
So sad.

I remember John telling me how he wound up The Daily Star by telling them, falsely, that he and Nora had married in Rome, and they sent a reporter to find the non-existent marriage certificate, which amused him greatly.
Very sad event for him, but possibly a blessed relief and respite. Despite his media personage, he has been a devoted carer for her during a cruel illness. He puts to shame some of the very vocal would be, protectors of vulnerable people and has never complained of his plight, or the long hours of commitment, that he has shown. RIP Nora Forster.
Having seen Alzheimer's first hand I know it will be a relief after the initial shock of the death of his wife of 50 years. It's a terrible illness.

Hang in there Mr Rotten, it get better.

And RIP Nora, finally your torment is over.
