It’s frightfully early but the rain has woken me, so I thought I would make a start and the if I’m lucky enough to doze off there is a morning thread to chat on.
Off out to dinner tonight otherwise just working today, what’s your plans for today?

Good morning all.. I've been busy doing the laundry on the riverbank eh Murray? I don't think so!! Although the women did that and draped the washing over the bushes when I first arrived in 51 yrs ago! New machine arrives today although I'll need a degree in technology t0o work it!
How you are all ok!
I've moved 26 times. In my life including moving to a different country

Good morning all. Special good morning to Susan (Wolf) wishing you luck in your new home xx
We have now lived in the house we rebuilt in 1979/80 for 44 years. I loved those early years working as a builders labourer weekends and evenings and often long hours into the night after working full time all day!
Actually meeting friends today and lunching out for the first time this year and I'm so nervous about it. I dont know if I will cope so wish me luck. I managed to go to my dental appointment yesterday!
Ha ha Helen re the cat!
Morning all,

I think I am in home number 8, may have a move ahead as the block I am in will be scheduled for demolishing in around another 10 years of so, by which time may need somewhere with additional support available, or wheelchair access.. Not worrying about that as a lot can happen in 10 years. According to a fortune teller I have marriage number 3 ahead and I haven't even met anyone yet. ( it's rubbish really but I am still up for adventures)
Good morning, Red x. The sun usually wakens me streaming in but not today so it's a bit of a rush around. Think I will have to invest in a new phone though unsure of what will suit me best at a reasonable price?
You could try one of the online algorithms that lead you through a series of questions about what you will use it for, how much online stuff, how much you can afford to pay etc, they come up with suggestions. If you do a few and compare results if one phone is consistently on the lists it might be the place to start.
Thanks for that Rowan. Will do so later.x
Good morning...been up for a good while but have only just peeped in here.

Good wishes to you wolf...moving is traumatic, stressful, and so, so exciting. It's a new beginning. I think you will be very happy once settled.
I sometimes wish I could move...but sleep through the hellish bits!

I've moved 18-20 times. A LOT in the US when young. Countless studio apartments with friends/ partners. Ex and I finally bought a gorgeous old 1920s flat, only to be tempted into a move to the UK only months after buying. Moving countries meant staying with MIL in Scotland for months as we waited for our worldly goods to arrive. Now in 3rd UK abode.
I've lived in places anywhere from 6 weeks, to my current flat...17 years.
Will you ‘ stay put ‘ now pasta ?
TBH...I'm not sure Anne. There's s lot of steps here...2 external flights and my flat is on 2 levels. Knees give me some grief.
I'm hoping my daughter's next purchase has a granny flat!
Gosh that's difficult for you. Are you not able to sell it and get a ground floor one Pasta?
my sister is in the same position re all the stairs and her legs aren't great too - so I wait with baited breath about a move but hay-ho I'm not getting involved cos if it was wrong for the next move - it would be my fault. no no no
Oh, I'm ok with it for now. I figure stairs keep me fit.
If I did move, a different neighbourhood would be good as a change of scenery. Though I do have nice neighbours...I know they look out for me.
