Arrow Disappears

I am reading on screen a document or newspaper and after a little while the arrow disappears and no amount of pressing the mouse control brings it back so I have to switch off the computer and start over. I am wifi with logi mouse and keyboard.
What can I do to stop this happening

Try looking for cursor settings in the mouse settings.

Does the computer 'hang' completely, or will it still respond to key presses, eg 'Windows' or 'PgUp', 'PgDn' keys?
