The length of the dress isn't a massive issue if you are sitting behind a desk anyway
Not at all, it would brighten my day.

//If you will keep tugging the hem then it will be too short. There is nothing more irritating//

Are you talking from personal experience :-)
Abbey, have a bit more confidence, we all make awful fashion and style mistakes when we are young. One thing I would suggest is working out what suits your shape and colouring. A colour consultant would be really helpful but you would need to save up. Or maybe it's something you could ask for , for your birthday.
These are the best known and in the long run you will save money because housing make mistakes when you shop.

Housing! you won't
I wore shorter than that in the 60's and 70's at work!
It's fine. Not too short. I wore far shorter dresses in the 60/70s too. If you are young and have nice legs then go with it. It's a very respectable dress.
The days are long gone when working clothes had to be boring. I'm surprised though that they haven't supplied you with a uniform.
Also wore very short skirts in the late 60s...even asked if I could wear hot pants. It was an advertising agency so anything went.
I wore hotpants to work as did a lot of us. And noone complained. Worked at the Open University in its early years. Lots of young staff. They were great days.
Mind you my legs were probably my best asset and I knew it!
well it is OK for church - today
I dont believe God upskirts
You could have done away with all these dress problems by taking up the sewing machine job. Making your own.

did you do Maff?
Jeremy gray and Harold WIlson's son ( Giles ) were inspirational

Idea of his Dad ( Harold WIlson) - there are some aged lectures on You tube - Jer' Gray - Ideas of space and time

Third year stuff but so clear, that it can be read in the first year ( undergrad, silly!)
PP I was Secretary to the director of publishing who was also translator of the Tintin books and an ex Bletchley Park codebreaker.
I never did a degree. It was a really fun job and the social life was great too! Lots of interaction with bbc staff as well.
Did you wear a short skirt, opps sorry, did you do short hand :•}
Oh yes, Nicebloke, shorthand and even shorter skirts and hotpants!
Why not get a black skirt, not too short, and wear various tops, not low cut, or black trousers?
Another free advert for New Look no doubt. Not going to waste my time even looking at it.
No, it's not too short at all
