Half asleep but just calling in to say "Good Morning" and to keep GMEB going till Minty gets back (not forgetting Emmie who I hope is recovering well). Hope you're feeling brighter, Mintyx
Other reason is to promote the competition thread which was posted yesterday for St. Patrick's Day on Friday - want to see lots of entries!
Have a good day.xx

It has stopped raining for now down in Devon, how long for who knows. Not quite as windy but still cold. I too hope that Emmie is doing well and comes back on here soon to let everyone know how she is getting on. There seems to be a few that are not on lately, hope they are all well and just having a break.

That doesn't sound good Margo - which part of the country are you in?
The sun is shining here at the moment, hope it lasts. I too miss emmie and hope she comes back soon

Blooming Heck, just looked out my window just now,a raging blizzard up here in Bieldside right now.Brrrr....

You'll have to emigrate down to Sunny Dunny where the sun always shines - most of the time anyway.
Sorry,Haz,Royal Deeside will always be the place for me.Either blizzards or blazing sunshine.Nae happy medium up here.
Mostly blizzards....

^^ Och aye - you do live in a beautiful part of Scotland - but then all of Scotland is beautiful as are the people.
Och,aye....we are not all nationalist separatists as the SNP heidies on here would have you English friends of ours believe.
Morning all, well finally mum is in a care home! My problem at the moment is dealing with idiots... DWP great, couldn't be more helpful.... Wandsworth council, try the online form no third party option, and among the compulsory questions what date did you move into your current address.... How the fluff would I know and mad mother dumped all her paperwork and anyway she is in London and I am in blooming birmingham. Try the phone help line.... All the menu choices lead back to the online form or write to us ( last time I wrote to them it took three attempts and six weeks to get a reply). And they say ' you must contact us straight away if your circumstances change... '. And I have to go through it twice because council tax and housing benefit don't talk to one another.
Apart from that the sun is shining and I have to go to a meeting.
And that is with idiots too!!!!!!
Rowan, when all is settled with the paper work, I hope mum settles into her new home .
Question Author
Nothing is straightforward these days, Rowan, as you obviously know.
Is it a case of too many chiefs and not enough Indians? I do hope everything gets settled to your satisfaction and that your mother is comfortable in the Care Home.
And the few indians that are about are scared to death to act on common sense, without a nod from the chiefs, who work from home. Must be a nightmare rowan.
could you send the paperwork recorded delivery Rowan, that way they cant argue you let them know in good time
Did that last time, but getting to the council offices doesn't guarantee it arrived in the right desk.... The mail room is a black hole from which very little seems to escape.
