I happened to be in Dumfries today and among the ruins of what used to be a decent High Street
I happened upon the repurposed Debenhams store awash with all sorts from forks to furniture.
Of course Mr Hemingway wasn't there and it's not in London so it probably doesn't count.
I wonder how much they might be over charging. As compared to if the charity was selling direct, as opposed to using a middle man.
£7.50 here in Plymouth versus £27.50 in London? Hmmmm....
Ms Chenoweth argued that the increase in demand for second-hand fashion was not just down to the rising cost of living, but was "mainly driven" by shoppers' concerns about sustainability I don't think so. They shop there because they see something they want to buy and it's cheap. That's why Primark is always packed out.
there have been plenty of such things in disused Oxford St department stores but it's probably a first to appear in a moderately upmarket mall where people don't normally go to save money. (That's what High Streets are for.)
