Roast Chicken (from a local supplier) with saute spuds and some steamed sprouts with toasted almonds. Cranberry Gravy to wash it down. I think there's some Zinfandel left in the bottle from last night - if not then a drop of Malbec.

Really SD just a drop?
I'm tired today (just finished a story) so it's seasoned pork loin chops, roast spuds & carrots, broccoli and I'll make a savoury jus to go with it.

Don't know yet. We have half a roast chicken in the fridge so I might make a chicken risotto or we could have cold chicken, chips and peas.

Mr T has chosen chicken, chips and peas.
We had his birthday ribeye steaks with beer battered onion rings, peas, grilled tomatoes, fries and peppercorn sauce. Enjoyed with a bottle of red, followed by a snifter of Hennessy cognac, a birthday present from one of the children.
Was all very tasty.
Talking of banana ice cream, do you just whizz up frozen bananas and then refreeze it? I used to do that with too soft bananas, you just reminded me, Helen, I might give it a go again when I have enough soft bananas.

Vagus I just keep freezing the odd banana when I have it but this time I wizzed it up with soya cream and a teaspoon of sugar
Yep, that’s what I used to do, shove them in the freezer till I had a big bag of them. Never thought of adding cream of any description, I bet that makes such a difference, thanks for the tip x
