I agree with Zacs-Master. I bought my current hi-fi from Richer Sounds, and the staff there were very knowledgeable. They gave me good advice.

Incidentally, if you're not a Vinyl purist, it's worth looking into a Sonos system of speakers. They're superb and have the added benefit of connection to the internet and streaming music. Their Arc TV soundbar is also pretty amazing.

They have amazing customer service. My OH is an audio sound engineer and has purchased most of her equipment from there.

Having said that, you can't beat actually going into a store and looking around.

DON'T go to Curry's. Their staff know next to nothing about most of the stuff that they sell and they're only interested in pushing products at you that carry the most commission.

There was an issue with Apple a while ago but it's resolved now.

I love my Sonos throughout the house. Its getting on a bit now and a while back they tried to unsupport it but there was an outcry (it cost a couple of grand !) So the old app was reinstated. so now there is S1 and S2.

Yes, there is a reason that Which? give their Best Online Retailer award to Richer Sounds...you can't beat their selection, prices or customer service.

The nice things about richer sounds they don't try to sell you more than you will need. They don't talk down to women in my experience. Dave was a bit of a home entertainment addict, had to drag him past the Birmingham one of he would wander in and be lost for ages. I think it's closed may have just relocated
