Ironically, those that believe global warming is down to anthropogenic causes (the vastly held opinion of the scientific community and the public at large), then were all Britain's coal-fired
power stations to remain fully operational to meet the demands of UK electricity consumption, it would make absolutely no difference to the outcome people fear.
The reality, the UK's carbon footprint pales into insignificance
when compared with those coal hungry power stations (planned expansion and continuing future use) as used on a grand scale by countries such as China, India and USA.
