Five can be seen with the naked eye,
two, Uranus and Neptune, with telescope or binoculars. The show starts at 9pm.

Sorry I can’t post a link but some other kind soul might oblige.

Thanks zacs.
:-)
9pm is the time of alignment. To see them all you would need to look at about 4:30pm. Venus sets at 5:05pm. There's always tomorrow.
That's spooky, this was literally the last thing I read before logging on here:

Thanks Radagast.
Last night was the last official opportunity, from tonight we lose a couple visible just after sunset quite low on the horizon. You need a telescope or binoculars for the smaller ones but you should get Jupiter, saturn, mars, and Uranus without.
I missed the view. I hope some people didn't get the idea that lined-up planets portend amazing happenings in the near future!
I had a look but, as usual, didn't see anything (cloud). It was the same when Halley's comet was to be seen years ago and t.b.h. I've rather given up on anything like star-spotting.

Atheist - it depends if you are into astronomy or astrology. In astrology I believe it is v. significant at a birth. :)
jourdain. I'm afaid I don't have any faith in astrology. It seems to me that it is mumbo-jumbo. Sorry, but that's my view.
astrology is wonderful, except for the minor flaw that the constellations don't exist.
Atheist - I didn't say I practised astrology!!!! Believe what you like - or not. :)
