That’s what I’m afraid of, Rocky. Have you tried one?

Weigh the beef and Google the cooking time.
I have, I don't like them. It's probably the Red Bull which I really don't like.

I did that with the beef last year and it was dry. It's an 8 kilo forerib. Going by Google, it'll take about 4 hours.
1. Had about three hours sleep... That's an improvement
2. Nothing planned, just eating what I feel like when I want
I know I have a handbag I have wanted for ages waiting to be unwrapped
4. I get my state pension in less than six months
5 my sister has finally accepted mum needs residential care so now we can move on that.
I have a strange feeling I won’t like it either - but it’s something I’ve not had so I’ll
give it a go.

Good luck with the beef. I cook mine slow and cover it with foil for most of the cooking to keep it moist - and remove it for the last bit.
I do my beef in my slow cooker. Leaves the oven free for high temperature stuff like the roasties
Thanks. I've just stuck it in the oven with the thermometer. Once that strikes 55 degrees I'll take it out and pray that it's OK.
I'm sure you already know, RR, but make sure it's well rested. I'm sure it will be lovely x
y'all - - y'hear
dont go drinking in Liverpool
they have just shot someone !
so all those in saner areas
have a reason to be cheerful
have a good one Rowan - the last bit just before everyone says yeah OK residential - is pretty terrible.
Yes Pp it's been a nightmare and in the short term it will be even worse. Easier for me because my training, ( and Asd) makes me more objective. Hope we can move her nearer to me so my sister and brother in law can have their lives back for a while
Just found another reason....
Opened the bedroom curtains to find my orchid plants have come into bloom. A few weeks earlier than usual and better than previous years. It's like this one, only mind are the babies of one I was given years ago..

Get well soon Naomi - I've never had a Jagerbomb but I have a shot of Jagermeister most evenings and am a firm believer in its restorative properties. I think it should be on prescription LOL ! And looking forward to 91st birthday in the Spring.
Happiest of Chrisrmasses
everyone. Xxx
Thanks Rosie. How kind of you.

91? Crikey! You sound like a mere slip of a girl! Now where’s that Jagermeister? I’ve been given a big bottle of the stuff (along with a can of Red Bull) so there’s hope for me yet! I’ve never tasted it… but I will. ;o)
How as the Jaegerbomb?
I'm over the moon, I didn't get socks off Santa.
