Can anyone tell me which is the largest regiment in the UK?

Probably the Infantry regiment. It has been the regiment with the largest number of personnel for years, as far as I know.

Thank you all for your help. I was asking on behalf of a dear friend a 90 yr old Captain from Airborne Engineers. They have just joined forces with the Gurkhas and he wondered if this made his regiment the largest
