Is there a list anywhere detailing how long various documents have to be retained relating to tax, income etc.

however - if you have had a tax query raised which got up and ran, then forever.
Things like PNC, land registry, medical records have different time scales.
The average ( reading ) ABer wd immediately ask:
"what dat mean? what get up and run mean? what mean dat?"
If it has happened to you: you would immediately know. ( sleepless nights, forms you can't fill in, money to lawyers).
