Engine Noise

When cold my 2019 1.4 Corsa sounds as though it has a tappet rattle,after about 200yds or so it goes and then it is fine.Thanks Mick

Some corsa engines do have timing chains and some are known to prematurely fail. You may have a bit clatter from the tensioning guides as the oil gets sprayed onto it. The guides and the tensioner that pushes the guides against the chain under load tend to weaken and wear a tad. I’ve had two that developed start up chatter. Just get it checked out.
