They’re not kept refrigerated in the shops.
Oh no, not another should you/shouldn’t you!!
Opinion is divided, some are convinced you should, some (like me) don’t and have never bothered.
Basically it’s up to you Baz.
I've always kept mine in the fridge.
If sell by dates are fine, then buy them wherever you want.
No, in my opinion they shouldn't be refrigerated.
Not in the UK as we don't overwash the eggs and remove the natural protection. In the US they do overwash and have to refrigerate them.

Just did some shopping
Room in the refrigerator is at a premium

Just looking at things that don't need to go therein :-)
From the website of the British Egg Information Service:

[Q1] Where should I store eggs?

[A1] For optimum freshness and food safety, eggs should be kept at a constant temperature below 20°C. To avoid the typical temperature fluctuations in a domestic kitchen, we recommend that eggs are stored in their box in the fridge. See our egg storage and handling page for more information.

[Q2] Why aren’t eggs refrigerated in supermarkets?

[A2] Most modern supermarkets are kept below 20°C so it is not necessary for retailers to refrigerate their eggs. Not refrigerating eggs in store also prevents significant temperature fluctuations (for example eggs being moved from a fridge to a hot car after purchase).

I would have given an answer similar to Chris.
Plus, eggs are quickly sold so it's assumed they move into similar ideal temperatures once taken home.
I always keep mine in the fridge...but I could get away with keeping them out in winter as my kitchen is unheated.
My boxed eggs (Waitrose) say "Refrigerate after purchase to maintain freshness".
To me, it seems common sense to keep eggs cooler, rather than sit at room temperature.
nah - put mine in fridge - I couldn't have eggs knocking about my kitchen - making an untidy mess. I actually put everything into my fridge as I don't have great cupboard space.
I always keep my eggs in the fridge, but they are never in there for long.
I get eggs for my son but he doesn't have them every day so I reckon they keep longer in the fridge.
