Funny old world. The poor little girls who were groomed by older men in Rochdale and similar enclaves didn't seem to elicit such sympathy from our pious would-be social influencers. The so shall workers and plod even held the attitude that it was all their own fault. Was Begum plied with drugs and alcohol before being "persuaded"?

Why do any of you think you know better than our security services?
'cos we smarter, innit?
// Why do any of you think you know better than our security services?//

Seems not all UK 'security services' agree where she should be

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2022/11/23/shamima-begum-poses-bigger-danger-uk-national-security-left/
I'll stick with current security advice, thanks.

Something for you to ponder. Should she be allowed back and the worst happened, how prepared would you be to take your share of responsibility for it?
^As you ponder, bear in mind that even her champion in the link you provided acknowledges that she does present a danger to national security.
naomi, I am disagreeing with the comments that she is a 'monster' not that she is a potential threat to UK security. More than one 'champion' of hers agrees she would be less of a security risk over here, I don't agree with that either. She is not a monster she is a victim, but even victims have the capacity to do harm, especially when they have been 'brain washed'.
Meaghan, she is not a victim. As a Muslim she was aware of what she was joining and why. She is a danger to security.
People enticed into Christian based Cults know what they are letting themselves in for (or think they do) too. I would describe them as victims too.
If you understood Islam you would know there is no comparison. There is not a Muslim alive who isn't aware of ISIS and its intentions.
Such a ridiculously sweeping generalisation as that does not really warrant further discussion.
Meaghan, the basic philosophy of ISIS is absolutely fundamental to Islam - and therefore, every Muslim is aware of it. I can only try to tell you. If you refuse to listen - and learn - there's not a lot I can do about it.
“ the basic philosophy of ISIS is absolutely fundamental to Islam”

does every muslim agree with this opinion?
She was trafficked to the Middle East and there appears to have been used as a brood mare.
Has she ever committed an act of violent there? Where's the evidence?
If she was allowed home where's the evidence that she'd be any threat to our security?
Question Author
Sandy ,as a woman in the Middle East, she would not dare commit an act of violence, she’d be one of those heads in a bucket if she did
it has been alleged that she stitched on some suicide bombers’ garments to prevent them “bailing”… i do not believe she has ever actually been put on trial for violent crimes however but i could be mistaken
I don't really care if she was an innocent abroad or an evil perpetrator of jihadism (?) - she's just insignificant now & the courts etc. should not be wasting their time (and our money) with her.
Untitled. Disagreeing with the basic philosophy, ie to spread Islam throughout the world, is not an option for Muslims. It is what it is. That’s not to say that they all go about working for the cause in the same way but whether it’s sharing a cup
of tea and a chat or chopping blocks off, justification for the purpose is to be found in Islamic literature.
